Want the feel of an isolated tropical island that is only minutes away from the city? Arashi beach is located on the northwestern tip of Aruba and is less than 10 minutes from the nearest bus station. This beach purposely has limited facilities, nothing more than beach huts (palapas) for some shade, to allow its visitors an escape into a truly remote, private snorkeling getaway. Before you even set foot in the water you will be breath taken by the beautiful powder sand beach which extends for miles and the gentle, lush turquoise water. While the beach alone is enough to draw travelers to it, the snorkeling here offers a truly mesmerizing experience.
Entry to the water is easy from any location on the beach as there are no rocks to watch out for. Once you enter the water, located just to the south of the beach is the smaller Malmok beach; the area in between these two beaches is home to a shallow reef. The turtles in the area are known to hangout around here and will come up to inspect or visit snorkelers at times. There are several different locations in the water to observe the many species of fish and coral formations here; morays, triggerfish, starfish, and squid are common sights along with the elkhorn coral and brain coral found here. With its location and layout, you simply cannot miss out on a trip to Arashi Beach!
